Beijing : At least 14 people were killed and nine others injured Tuesday when a double-decker bus fell off a bridge over the Yangtze river in China’s central Hubei province, officials said.
The accident took place around 7 p.m., when a flat tire caused the bus to break the guardrail at the southern end of the Jingzhou Yangtze bridge and hit the ground underneath the structure.
The bus did not fall into the river, officials said.
