Reliance Infra unveils water conservation model

By IANS,

Mumbai : Reliance Infrastructure Friday unveiled a prototype model of water conservation, marking ‘World Water Day’.

The company said it planned to undertake public awareness campaigns for mass sensitisation and facilitating ground level action to save water.

It will also do rainwater harvesting for its offices and the community around.

Water monitoring and water efficiency measures and waste water treatment and re-use initiatives will also be undertaken.

As a part of the campaign, Reliance Infrastructure has displayed the prototype model that demonstrates that saving of water at one place, preferably high localities, helps provide water to the water-starved areas.

“I’m pleased at the eco-friendly initiatives undertaken towards creating a sustainable organisation that will in turn contribute towards creating, conserving and ascertaining safe and clean environment for all,” Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ashok Khaire said after unveiling the model at Reliance Infrastructure office here.

“Water, being a prime resource for living, needs a serious attention from all of us and we will leave no stone unturned in its conservation and spreading awareness among stakeholders,” said a company spokesperson.
