IMB won in the “Best Group Blog” category and Indescribe in the “Best South/Southeast Asian Blog” category.

Mohib Ahmed founder blogger of IMB said that “winning Brass Crescent Award for Best Group Blog vindicates our focus on developing an active user community around Indian Muslims Blog. It also gives us a chance to showcase the rich cultural heritage that is unique to Indian Muslims to a wider readership along with highlighting pertinent contemporary issues.”

IMB have attracted young Indian Muslim bloggers living in India and abroad and have a large readership among young Indians of all faiths. It has made its mark with its persuasive, articulate and informative articles and have slowly become more like features and opinion site than a typical blog site. Talking about the future of IMB Mr. Ahmed said that “our focus will now be on diversifying the topics covered at the blog and providing a broader spectrum of Indian Muslim life to readers.”
