JKPFL, JKSM paid tributes to Jamal

Srinagar : Chairman J&K People’s League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has urged upon the people of Kashmir to defend their struggle for the right of self determination against the ‘occupation’ by themselves on the basis of UN charter and the relevant resolutions regarding plebiscite in J&K.

Rehmani was addressing a gathering of the JKPFL workers and sympathizers in a function organised to a pay tribute to the life and struggle of a renowned leader and ‘commander’ of resistance movement, Abdul Khaliq Ghanaye Alias Jamal Afghani ‘Shaheed’, who fought for Kashmir cause between 1970s and 1990s and was later ‘murdered’ by Indian troops in custody in December 1993, a release said.

He asked Kashmiris to keep the flame of ‘freedom’ burning till its success, adding that the Kashmir movement had quite extra constitutional base and character and could not be resolved by looking from the colored Indian glasses.

He clarified that over one hundred thousand Kashmiris would not have had sacrificed their lives to get a few constitutional rights under the constitution of India.

Meanwhile Jammu Kashmir salvation Movement Chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat has also paid tributes to Abdul Khalik Ghanaye. Zaffar while condemning the Magam killing said that the people of kashmir were killed like sheeps and goats, adding the recent killings in kashmir speaks volumes of PM’s and CM’s Zero Tolrance. He said that Human righ voilation in Kashmir was on rise.

The workers of JKSM led by Zaffar Bhat also held protest demonstrations holding play cards “stop innocent killings in kashmir” in press enclave Srinagar against increase in Human rights voilation and raise anti government slogans.
