Aligarh: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized a Counseling Workshop on Jobs through Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for graduates in the Cultural Hall of University Library and Women’s College. The objective of the workshop was to make the students aware about different job opportunities available in the Government of India through Staff Selection Commission.
Syed Abid Ali, Career Counselor, Mr. Shamimuddin and Mr. Mehmood Alam from Indian Customs & Central Excise provided information about SSC and its examination format. They provided tips regarding the preparation of various examinations and urged them to participate in large numbers in the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by the Commission.
Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General) urged the students to make efforts to enter into government jobs along with private sector as it provides good career with grace, authority and stability.
Addressing the girl students at Women’s College, Mr. Hameed said that the Training and Placement Cell should create information data of different job opportunities and made it available to the undergraduate students. He said that competition is tough in both public and private sectors, however, a sincere and hardworking student with zeal to learn can succeed in any competition. He said that more workshops will be organized for students. He urged them to participate in large numbers in the workshops and put up their queries for redressal.
