Bihar Congress Minority Division gears up for upcoming election

Patna: Bihar Pradesh Congress’s Minority division organized a national level gathering on 29th March where State Congress president Ashiq Chaudhary was the chief guest. Addressing office bearers and members from different parts of the country, Chaudhary said that this election is a fight between communal powers and secular forces which means that every community should unite in bringing congress to power, because it is a secular party. He praised the centre for providing funds for minority welfare to every state, while expressing disappointment on the fund’s improper utilization. The state minority president, Minnatullah Rehmani, who was chairing the session, said it is only the minority communities that could improve the kind of disrupted socio-political environment prevalent in the country. He mentioned several opportunities available for the minority communities, like MSDP, Nayi Roshni , Learn and Earn, Student scholarship etc, while criticizing the Bihar government for injustices meted out to the minorities.



Prem Chandra Mishra, who is senior congress leader and vice president and media coordinator, urged people to be united. Senior leader, Jamal Ahmad Bhallu, spoke in detail about congress led policies, and proposed that the chief aim of this election is to show BJP its last stage. Kauqab Qadri, another senior leader, pointing towards JD(U), said that they don’t have any policy for minorities, neither their intentions are good.

Among others who were present and spoke are, Najmul Hasan Najmi, Dr. Mumtaz Ruhi, ex-MLA Shamsujjuha, ex-MLA Ghulam Gilani Varsi, Yaseen Azad, Qamar Ansari.
