Hyderabad: Adani Group will generate 20,000 MW electricity by 2020 and will be in a position to supply to needy states.
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group of companies, said this during a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao here Monday.
The chief minister told Adani that there is a shortage of power in the state and that he will be happy if Adani Group comes forward with its ideas to ease out the problem.
According to a statement from the chief minister’s office, Adani explained the group’s profile and activities being taken up.
Rao said government of Telangana was coming out with an industrial policy by which a single window clearance will be in place. The chief minister said the government had already identified land to provide to the industries after developing it in all aspects including infrastructural facilities.
He, however, said the state faced electricity shortage and was looking forward for help from companies like Adani Group.
