New Delhi : BJP’s Delhi unit Sunday said it will send relief material to the flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir, where over 100 people have died.
“Delhi BJP will flag off four trucks containing relief material, including plastic tents, tarpauline, food grain and medicines Tuesday,” it said.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Satish Upadhyay, who informed the members that the party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit has requested them to send help.
R.P. Singh, the BJP’s national secretary and Delhi legislator from Rajinder Nagar, will look after the relief work.
Over 100 people have died in the state in floods following incessant rainfall.
