Abu Dhabi : US President George W. Bush arrived here Sunday on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of his Middle East tour, WAM news agency reported Sunday.
Bush is the first sitting US president to visit the UAE.
He was welcomed at the airport by UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Vice-President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and other senior government officials.
The delegation accompanying the US president included Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, White House Chief of Staff Joshua B. Bolten and Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs Stephen Hadley.
