New Delhi : To facilitate ‘live’ interaction of prospective Indian students with faculty members and representatives of top Australian universities, IDP Education, one of the largest student placement service providers in India, has launched a 12-day virtual education fair starting Monday.
Over 23 Australian universities and institutions would be present during the ‘virtual fair’ which is open for all Indian students. The fair also offers a window for offline queries, an official statement said.
“Australian education has always attracted Indian students and the availability of post-study work opportunities make it even more attractive,” said Piyush Kumar, country director, India – IDP Education.
“The online platform offers a chance to the students to engage in interactive counselling with the Australian university and institution representatives and discuss their academic opportunities and programmes of interest,” Kumar said.
The participating universities include Monash University, University of Sydney and University of Queensland, among 20 other institutions of higher education.
To participate in the fair, students just need to fill in a short registration form on http://india.virtualfair.idp.com and proceed to the chat room.
This initiative would further help all students get application fee waivers and scholarships for a select few, the statement said.
