No wonder, their father Mohammed Shahnawaz Khan, a small businessman in the city is mightily pleased. “We thank Allah for this moment, and are extremely proud of our daughters’ achievements. What more can a father ask for? They have done an excellent job,” he says. He added that the twins had always been extremely intelligent and had got a perfect score in Class 9 also.

Speaking with TwoCircles.net, Mayera said that they were pleasantly surprised with the score. “To be honest, we were both expecting only a CGPA of 8, but are extremely happy that we have achieved a score of 10. We both study together and help each other with all the doubts and clarifications. We both devoted about 6 hours a day for our Class 10 preparations,” she said. The twins were studying in Iqra Academy, Darbhanga and thanked the faculty at the academy for helping them score perfect marks.

Both sisters are likely to continue studying together in the coming days also, as both wish to pursue the medical field. “The two will take up Biology in Class 11 and continue their studies in Darbhanga for the next two years. Hopefully, they can crack the medical field and achieve their dreams of becoming doctors. They are even ready to devote an entire year after their Class 12 to prepare for the medical exams,” Shahnawaz said.

A total of 16,67,573 candidates appeared for the Board exam this year, and the overall pass percentage fell to 90.95% rom 96.21% last year, registering a dip of over 5%. The results can be checked atcbseresults.nic.in.
