Belgrade : Serbians vote today in a second round to decide who will be the next Head of State, whether the outgoing President, Boris Tadic or his rival from the Radical Party, Tomislav Nikolic.
Around 6.72 million citizens were summoned to this poll, seen in the Balkan nation and abroad a plebiscite regarding the integration to Europe and possibly losing Kosovo.
In statements to the press right after voting, Tadic spoke about a possible incorporation to the European bloc and the improvement of people s living conditions, as his main priorities.
Nikolic, on his part, he proposes a closer approach to the Russian Federation, opposed together with Belgrado to independence for the Serbian region of Kosovo.
The latter obtained 39.6 percent of the votes on January 20, while Tadic turned out short by 4.2 percent points.
Recent polls show both candidates maintained a technical tie in vote intentions, although some of them Publisher by the Press daily, the candidate for the Democrat Party obtained a slight majority over his opponent.
Both candidates have made public their opposition to the independence of Kosovo.
