Two Delhi High Court judges confirmed

New Delhi : President Pratibha Patil Wednesday confirmed the services of two additional judges of the Delhi High Court.

The services of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Aruna Suresh, working as additional judges of the Delhi High Court, have been confirmed and made permanent, said an official release.

They would deem to be confirmed with effect from the dates they assume their respective charges as permanent judge, the release added.

In another legal appointment, senior advocate M. Chandrasekharan was appointed additional solicitor general (ASG) of India in the Supreme Court.

A law ministry release said advocate Chandrasekharan is being appointed with immediate effect for a period of two years.

Chandrasekharan has been practicing law since 1962. He was appointed senior counsel for the central government in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court in 1985.

Earlier, he worked as ASG from December 1990 to May 1991 and again from July 1994 to May 1996.
