Arab expatriates affairs to be discussed by concerned ministers tomorrow

Cairo : Arab officials concerned with expatriates affairs discussed here on Sunday a draft agenda of the first meeting of ministers concerned with the affairs of immigration and Arab expatriate which will convene at the Arab League headquarters tomorrow.

The Kuwaitielegation was headed by Kuwait’s deputy permanent representative at the League Omar Al-Kanderi.

Director of the Department of Arab expatriate at the Arab League Samiha Mohiuddin said in a press statement that the Secretary-General’s call for this meeting stresses the importance of the role of Arab expatriates in foreign states, in addition to paving the way for the participation in national development programs in all areas.

She said the agenda contains a general assessment of the motives and reflections of the phenomenon of migration as well as conditions of Arab migrants abroad.

She added that the agenda also contains teh possibility of setting up an Arab strategy to deal with issues of migration and migrants.
