Islamabad : Afghan President Hamid Karzai has congratulated co-chairman of the Pakistan People s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on obtaining a majority in the Feb 18 parliamentary elections, PPP officials said.
Karzai phoned Zardari and congratulated him on his party s victory in the polls.
He said the Afghan government would work with whichever government was formed in Pakistan to ensure peace and security in the region.
