Pleasant weather continues in Delhi

New Delhi : Delhiites continued enjoying pleasant climate Tuesday as a small drop was recorded in the maximum temperature.

On a trifle windy day, the maximum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, one degree down from Monday, while the minimum was around at 13 degrees Celsius, one above the normal for this time of the season.

According to weatherman, dry weather is likely over most parts of the country during the next 4-5 days except over the parts of north-eastern states, where light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected.

However, the Met Office warned that temperatures are likely to rise over the northwest and central India by the weekend.

The Met Office also forecast thundershowers over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. South Indian states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu are also likely to get rainfall in the next 48 hours ending Friday and mainly dry weather thereafter.

Jammu and Kashmir capital Srinagar, which registered a minimum temperature of minus 1.1 devrees Celsius also saw 1.2 mm of rain.
