New Delhi : The pleasant spell of spring weather continued in north India Wednesday, with another day of moderate temperatures bringing smiles to millions in the region.
The maximum temperature in Delhi Wednesday was 31 degrees Celsius and the day’s low was around 18 degrees. The trend was mirrored in most of the northern plains.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) said parts of southern peninsula received scattered to light showers. The southern metropolis of Chennai recorded 21.2 mm of rain with the weatherman forecasting more for Thursday.
The weatherman said rain or thundershowers were likely to hit Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh till the weekend. The northeastern parts of the country could also see light showers.
Srinagar saw temperatures way above normal. The day’s high was 20 degrees Celsius, eight degrees above normal.
