New Delhi : A camp of the security personnel was attacked by armed insurgents in Chandel district in India’s Northeastern state of Manipur Saturday.
No casualty was reported in the attack on the camp at Minou in the district, near the India-Myanmar border, news agency Press Trust of India reported, quoting a Manipur police official.
The insurgents fired bullets and threw grenades and tried to enter the camp, the news agency said.
The rebels fled after the security personnel retaliated, the police official said.
Manipur is home to more than 20 big or small insurgent groups.
