New Delhi : While it was a warm and sunny day in the national capital sans any rain Wednesday, the temperature remained one degree below what is normal for this time of the year.
Delhi found the maximum temperature crossing 30-degree Celsius mark to touch 33 degrees Celsius. However, it was still one degree below normal. The city saw a rise in the minimum temperature, which hovered around 21 degrees Celsius.
Though dry weather prevailed in most of the northern cities, the Met Office said a fresh western disturbance was likely to cause isolated showers in the western Himalayan region and parts of Punjab and Haryana in the coming days.
Southern cities like Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram received rainfall Wednesday. Thiruvananthapuram recorded 49 mm of rain while Hyderabad had light showers of nearly 7 mm.
According to the weatherman, scattered rain would continue in the southern states for next three-four days till Saturday.
