“I don’t have anything to do with IPL. But I have told Lalit Modi (chairman of IPL), that I don’t want to hear any complaints from the electronic and the print media,” Pawar told reporters at the Feroze Shah Kotla cricket stadium. He was speaking at the inauguration of the floodlights at the stadium.

Inderjit Singh Bindra, former BCCI president and a member of the IPL, said he thought everything was settled, but promised to take it up with Modi if there was anything left resolved.

“I thought the issue was settled. But I will again look into it,” he said.

The stand-off between the IPL management and the media on the guidelines issued for accreditation is threatening to rip apart the world’s most lucrative cricket event due to start Friday.
