New Delhi : The Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) Wednesday set up a three-member committee to probe the sting operation by a television news channel that exposed a bribe scandal involving its general secretary K. Jothi Kumaran.
The committee headed by retired Judge of Madras High Court Justice K.M.N. Natarajan will also have former Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, W.I. Davaram, and IHF Joint Secretary Rajeev Mehta.
Jothi Kumaran resigned after he was purportedly shown accepting bribe in a sting operation.
The channel claimed that Jothi Kumaran was ready to fix the selection of a player in the national team after receiving a cash payment of Rs.2,00,000 and taking a promise of another Rs.3,00,000 to be given to his man in Delhi.
