Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Meteorological Department has carried out cloud seeding tests to induce rainfall, WAM news agency reported Wednesday.
The department’s National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) Tuesday used planes to sprinkle cloud seeding salts in the clouds heading towards Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain.
Monitoring stations registered light to medium rainfall in different areas of Abu Dhabi and Dubai after the tests. The NCMS plans to repeat the tests.
