Nowshera (Sunderbani) : Bhartiya Janta Party, suffered setback today, as one of its influential leader from Nowshera Sunderbani quit the party to join Congress.
The BJP leader joined Congress in a rally at village Mokol in Nowshera under the leadership of Minister for Industries and PHE Dr Romesh Chander Sharma.
Mohan Lal Sharma, who claims to be a staunch supporter of BJP right from the inception of Praja Parishad & Jansangh and mass following joined Congress along with his 3000 supporters to strengthen the hands of Local Congress MLA Dr. Romesh Sharma in forth coming Assembly elections of J&K State.
Among those prominent who joined along with Mohan Lal include Krishan Singh Nambardar, Capt. Kamal Singh Bandral, Chairman Krishan Lal Devak, Pawan Kumar Raghubir Singh, Ram Lal, Phago Ram Chowkidar, Ex. Hav. Shiv Ram, Nambardar Prem Singh and many others.
“I am personally inspired by the work culture of the congress led government and the leadership of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad” Mohan Lal said while addressing the gathering.
Dr Romesh the Local Congress MLA welcomed the BJP leader into the party and hoped that he will work for the party.
He also lauded the role of the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and UPA President Smt. Sonia Gandhi who take personnel efforts for the development of the state.
