Beirut : Lebanese Shi’a source of jurisprudence Allameh Seyyed Muhammad-Hussain Fazlallah said here Friday current Lebanese crisis in neither religious, nor ethnic, but only political.
According to IRNA from Beirut, Fazlallah who was addressing the Friday Prayer worshipers at Hasanain Mosque in a southern Beirut suburb added, “Both the Muslim and the Christian religious leaders should take extreme care not to fall preys to the ethnic disputes.”
Warning that the US plots for the region are aimed at uprooting Islam and the entity of the Arab World, he added, “All of us in the Islamic and the Arab worlds need to safeguard the factors leading to our strength.”
The Lebanese Shi’a source said, “The resistance issue needs to be surveyed at dialogue tables among the Lebanese, based on defense strategies that would be able to safeguard the security of Lebanon today and in the future.”
He added, “The ongoing crisis is taking place under such conditions that Israel’s threats for assassination of the leaders of resistance continue, and Tel Aviv thus takes most advantage of this situation.”
Decisions made by Fouad Siniora Government to fire the security official of Beirut Airport and cut the communications network of Hezbollah triggered the flames of the current Lebanese crisis.
The decisions led to harsh reactions of the opposition forces, coupled with the black out of the factory workers and the store owners due to bad living standards, and bloody street clashes.
