New Delhi: In a series of anti-terrorism conferences being held across the country, the national capital, which has already held some such conferences, will again host two big anti-terrorism conferences: one on 31st May and other on 1st June.

Saturday’s conference is being organized jointly by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Darul Uloom Deoband and will be addressed by leaders of several Muslim organizations. At this conference, Deoband’s 25th February declaration against terrorism will be ratified, reports HT. The conference will have two-point message: Muslims will be told that “terror is not the tool to fight injustice” JUH leader Maulana Mahmood Madani was quoted saying by HT. The government will be told that harassment of Muslims in the name of terror must stop. The conference will be held at Delhi’s Ram Lila Maidan.

Another high-profile anti-terrorism conference will be held by the Jama Masjid United Forum (JMUF) on 1st June at Taj Mansingh Hotel. This international conference will be attended by delegates from several countries including Indonesia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. JMUF president Syed Yahya Bukhari told reporters that the conference will be inaugurated jointly by Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Jathedar Autar Singh, Delhi Bishop and Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmad Bukhari.
