Tehran : Member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali said here Saturday that recent confessions by Pakistani scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan is regarded as a clear victory for Iranian nation.
Abdul Qadeer Khan recently confessed that his comments against Iran in 2004 were taken under coercion and totally fabricated.
Speaking to IRNA, he said that Qadeer Khan remarks indicates the extent to which Iran has been sincere and transparent in its obligations thus exposing the belligerent policies of western countries and the US in particular in dealing with Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
The US tried to depict a false image of Iran using fake documents and evidence to divert Iran’s nuclear record from its right course and politicize the issue, he said.
He expressed the hope that the recent confessions by Pakistani scientist would help Iran’s nuclear dossier return to the proper track.
