Ghaziabad : Krishna, the compounder of arrested dentist Rajesh Talwar, was Tuesday remanded by a local court in six days’ Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody for alleged involvement in the murders of Noida teenager Aarushi Talwar and her domestic help last month.
The special magistrate (CBI) Sapna Mishra Tripathi, after hearing arguments from both sides, passed the order at 4.30 p.m. just before closing time of the court.
Earlier, CBI lawyers R.K. Saini and Suresh Batra told the court that in the past three days they had not been successful in recovering the articles needed to be submitted before the court as case property despite the accused having “confessed his crime” under section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure before the probe agency.
The court passed its order for six days’ CBI custody remand.
Aarushi, 14, was found dead in her Noida apartment May 16. Police initially named missing domestic help Hemraj as the prime suspect, but his body was found on the terrace of the house the next day.
Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar, a prominent dentist, was arrested May 23.
