New Delhi : India will tighten the norms for vehicle exhaust emissions from April 1, 2010, Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways T.R. Baalu said here Tuesday.
The Bharat Stage-IV norms for four wheelers will be extended to 11 mega cities and Bharat III norms throughout the country, Baalu told the consultative committee of MPs attached to his ministry.
The Department of Road Transport and Highways is in the process of notifying the rules very soon.
