LeT criticizes Bal Thackeray’s statement

By News Agency of Kashmir,

Srinagar : In response to controversial remarks of Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray in which he had advocated the creation of “Hindu suicide squads” to fight the scourge of “Islamic terrorism”, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), the frontal militants’ organization, today dared Thackeray for “defeated reply” if wrong was done with Muslim community members.

In a telephonic statement to News Agency of Kashmir, LeT chief Qari Abdul Wahid Kashmiri appealed to the international community and other Human Right organizations to take cognizance of the statement given by the Shiv Sena Supremo. Bal Thackeray in his controversial editorial in the Sena’s mouthpiece “Saamna” had advocated the creation of “Hindu suicide squads” to fight the scourge of “Islamic terrorism” on Wednesday. Thackeray has said, “The threat of Islamic terror in India is rising and it is time to counter the same with Hindu terror.”

“Whether it is Indian forces or Hindu fundamentalists like Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena, LeT will defeat their ill-motives and prevent Muslim community members from Hindu fundamentalist terrorism”, the caller told NAK. He also regretted the alleged silence maintained by the international community and other human right organizations and sought their intervention in this regard.

He alleged, “India and its intelligence agencies are hatching deep rooted conspiracy against Muslim community members,” adding that all the blasts which had been taken place at different places in railways, were carried out by “Indian fundamentalists” and they blamed LeT for the blasts.

“If Shiv Sena wants to help Indian security forces for carrying out massacres of Muslim community members, LeT will defeat their ill-motive and help its Muslim brethren,” he added.
