New Delhi : Indian and Kuwaiti officials Tuesday held talks ahead of minister-level discussions on cooperation in trade, investment and higher education later this week.
The India-Kuwait joint cooperation committee meeting will be held July 3, under the co-chairmanship of Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed and Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali, an external affairs ministry official said.
The official-level talks Tuesday were to set up the foundation for the ministerial discussions.
Khalifa Hamada, undersecretary in Kuwait’s finance ministry, led his country’s delegation. The Indian side included the external affairs ministry’s Secretary (West) Nalin Surie and Additional Secretary (Gulf) Sanjay Singh.
