Gaza : Embattled Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said that his Kadima party will hold primary polls by Sept 25.
The Israel Radio quoted Olmert as saying Monday that the party had reached an agreement on the primary election with its governing partner Labor Party, led by Israeli Minister of Defence Ehud Barak.
Over the recent months, Barak and his party have repeatedly called on Olmert to tender his resignation following fraud charges pressed against him.
Barak threatened to quit the Labor-Likud governing alliance before he reached an agreement with Olmert through mediators on the holding of the Kadima primaries in September at the latest.
