New Delhi : The Special Cell of Delhi Police Tuesday filed a charge sheet against three Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HuJI) terrorists who were arrested for conspiring to plants bombs in the capital.
Filing the charge sheet in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Kanwaljeet Arora, the special cell imposed sections 4 and 5 of the Explosives Act, sections 18, 20 and 23 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 121 (waging war against the country), 121-A (conspiracy to commit offence of waging war aginst country), 122 (collecting arms) and 123 (concealing with intent to facilitate design to wage war) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The court also issued production warrant against all the three for Wednesday.
Mohammed Iqbal, Jalaluddin and Qamar were arrested in May.
Iqbal was arrested from the New Delhi Railway Station by Special Cell on the basis of confidential information. He had been send by top commanders of HuJI with the task of causing bomb blasts in the capital, according to the Special Cell.
Police recovered three kgs of RDX, a timer and five electronic detonators from Iqbal.
Jalaluddin and Qamar, also members of HuJI, were arrested from Uttar Pradesh.
