Islamabad : The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday announced that the election for the President will be held on September 6.
The schedule for election of the President was announced following the resignation of President Pervez Musharraf on August 18, by Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Dilshad.
The nomination papers will be submitted by Aug 26, scrutiny of the papers will be on Aug 28 while candidates can withdraw their papers by August 30.
Polling would be held simultaneously at the national and provincial assemblies and the senate from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. on September 6.
