Islamic Fiqh Academy to launch religious guidance column on its website

New Delhi: A column for religious guidance will also be added to the website of Islamic Fiqah Academy (IFA). The issues about Islam that are raised in media, leading to misunderstanding and prejudice about Islamic Shariah will also be highlighted on the site.

This was decided in a meeting of the Academy which was held on July 4-5 at its head office in New Delhi. The two-day meeting was presided over by IFA president and Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband, Mufti Mohammad Zafaruddin Miftahi.

The meeting expressed happiness that IFA website is visited by about one lakh people from across the globe every month.

IFA has decided to organize an international seminar on ‘Minorities’ Rights’ at Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh. The seminar will be attended by Ulema and Muftis besides intellectuals, human rights activists and organizations from different countries.

According to the annual progress report presented at the meeting, IFA organized XVII International Seminar in Burhanpur this year with the participation of about 300 Fatwa experts and intellectuals from all parts of the country besides four foreigners.

It also arranged extension lectures by the eminent Egyptian academician Dr. Jasir ‘Audah on the topic of ‘Islamic Principles of Law’ for ideological training of the students of Islamic madrasas at Deoband (UP), Lucknow (UP), Patna (Bihar), Azamgarh (UP), Umarabad, Kerala and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh).

IFA published nine volumes of the proceedings of its valuable seminars on Fiqh. During the year, eight important Arabic books on Fiqh and Shari’ah were translated into Urdu language at the Academy.
