Congress second list out

Bengaluru: After much anticipation, the Congress Party finally released the second list of 40 candidates for the May 5 Assembly elections in Karnataka.

Continuing its dynasty politics, Priyank Kharge, son of Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjuna Kharge, and Ajay Singh, son of former chief minister Dharam Singh were given tickets from Chittapur and Jewargi respectively.

However, Rehaman Sharief, grandson of former Railways Minister C. K. Jaffer Sharief, a top contender for Hebbal constituency seat, has been left out from the list.

B.A. Mohiuddin Bava has got the Mangalore north seat.

The party still has to announce 9 candidate names out of the total 224 assembly constituencies.
