Enquiry committee hearing from June 11 in AMU’s MBBS entrance exam discrepancy

Aligarh: Starting Thursday, June 11, the Enquiry Committee constituted to ascertain facts related to discrepancies in the MBBS/BDS entrance test of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will hear the people who want to testify for the same.

The committee, under the chairmanship of Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza, retired judge of Allahabad High Court, will hear people concerned on June 11 at 4 pm in the University Guest House number 3, a release from AMU PRO said.

A notification issued under the signature of Dr Salik Ahmad Siddiqui, deputy registrar (DE) has made it clear that all concerned people may appear before the Enquiry Committee to register their statement on the above date and time, the release added.

The AMU had constituted the committee to analyze the MBBS/BDS the result for the entrance examination for the session 2015-16 held on April 26, 2015. While processing the results of entrance examination for MBBS/BDS (2015-16), the Office of the Controller of Examination found ‘unusually large number’ of candidates from a single centre clearing the test, raising eyebrows.
