Geneva, Dec 14 (Prensa Latina) The International Committee of the Red Cross Thursday condemned the Israeli measures imposed on the population of the Palestinian occupied territories for their high human cost.
In a report published in this capital, the ICRC asks Tel Aviv for adopting measures to improve the serious situation in the Palestinian territories, respect international humanitarian law, and end with restrictions in Gaza.
The ICRC head of operations for the Middle East and North Africa, Beatrice Megevand-Roggo, expressed concern for the inflexible Israeli measures on the movement of people and goods, which are making the crisis worse.
The document says that the situation in Gaza Strip has been deteriorating since June as contact with abroad has been closed.
As a result, basic product imports have decreased, and medical services, health system, and water service are awful.
In the West Bank, added the text, severe restrictions on the movement of people are also a big obstacle to everyday life and the economy.
