The UN document warns that the strict import and export restrictions will bring about devastating consequences to the economy, apart from the damage to the population, who need more aid than ever.

The report says more than half of basic products and food have now prices higher than the purchasing power of the majority of the population since hundreds of business went bankrupt and thousands of people lost their jobs.

The reduction of fuel supply to Gaza, upholds the text, affected all sectors of the population and basic services such as water are getting worse and worse.

Likewise, it notes that there is a shortage of medicines and 17 percent of patients were not allowed to be taken to hospitals out of the region.

The director of Emergencies and Ambulance Service, Moawie Hasanien, denounded that a greater number of people require urgent assistance and treatment since they are suffering chronic diseases.
