New Delhi : It was a warm and sunny Eid for the residents of the national capital Friday as the minimum climbed to 7.2 degrees Celsius – up two notches from a day earlier. Met officials have forecast an equally sunny Saturday.
“There will be mist in the (Saturday) morning but mostly the city will witness clear sky,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“In comparison to Thursday, the city witnessed substantial increase in the temperature. The minimum was 7.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above yesterday (Thursday).”
“The sunny weather condition must have helped in Eid celebrations. People in the capital can expect even a better day Saturday as the minimum is expected to hover around 8 degrees,” he said.
People enjoyed their day out with the maximum at 25.3 degrees Celsius – two degrees above normal. On Wednesday, Delhi had recorded a minimum of 4.2 degrees, the lowest of the season so far.
