Mumbai : Continuing the march towards new heights, a key Indian financial market index opened with a gain of 108 points Thursday.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 20,301.05 points against the previous close of 20,192.52.
The broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened flat at 6,069.00 points against the previous close of 6,070.75 points.
The market opened on a firm note with buying in blue-chip stocks. There was strong demand for energy, telecom and auto heavyweights.
