Cairo : Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has held talks with Saudi King Abdullah in Sharm El-Sheikh on several regional and international issues.
They met soon after King Abdullah’s arrival Tuesday in Sharm El-Sheikh where a summit was held Monday attended by leaders of Egypt, Israel, Palestine and Jordan.
The talks between Mubarak and King Abdullah covered the outcome of the summit, the situation in Iraq, Lebanon, Darfur, the Iranian nuclear programme and bilateral relations.
The Saudi monarch’s visit is part of bilateral coordination with Egypt over a host of regional matters.
Cairo and Riyadh are exploring the possibility of bringing Hamas and Fatah to hold dialogue in Cairo in efforts to halt the deterioration in the Palestinian territories.
