Baghdad : Up to 25 people were killed and 60 wounded when a suicide car bomb attack struck a popular market in southern Baghdad on Tuesday, an interior ministry source said.
"A suicide bomber blew up an explosive-laden car into the Mugasis popular market in the Hai al-Amil neighborhood at about 10.30 a.m.," the source said.
Earlier in the day, the police said that two roadside bombings rocked eastern and western Baghdad respectively, killing a civilian and wounding eight others.
Daily bombings continue infesting the capital's streets despite the US-Iraqi troops crackdown on insurgency and violence.
