Srinagar : The Lashkar-e-Toiba has strongly condemned the ‘Indian establishment’ for keeping Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani under house arrest and said that such things would not stop Kashmiris for getting their rights.

In a telephonic statement to News Agency of Kashmir, Lashkar spokesman Dr Abdullah Gaznavi read-out the statement of Lashkar chief Abdul Wahid Kashmiri in which he said that by keeping Geelani under house arrest Indian government can never suppress the voice of Kashmiris.

“By adopting these means the Indian establishment can never be successful to end the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people,” he said, adding “such moves infact show the ‘frustration among Indian security forces’.”

“The right to self-determination is a fundamental right and none can stop Kashmiri people from getting it.” He claimed.

The Lashkar chief also paid homage to the outfit cadres, who were killed in recent gun-fights with the security forces in Pattan and Sopore valley.

He said that the slain militants continuously fight for ten days and inflicted heavy causality to the security forces, adding “They their sacrifices would not go waste and the sacrifices would be remembered for ever”.

“The security forces looted the houses of the people and caused mental harassment to them” the statement said adding Lashkar condemn the act of security forces.

He claimed that the increase in suicide cases of security forces was because of their frustration.

However, security forces termed these statements as mere frustration. “the heavy losses including killing of top commanders have put them under frustration” a police officer told NAK said adding that during the last two few weeks’ security forces killed dozens of LeT caders.
