Hinduja to invest in Indian sunrise industries

Chennai : The Hinduja group is considering investments in many sunrise sectors in India that include insurance, healthcare and realty, said group president Dheeraj Hinduja.

“We will investing in fast-growing sectors like insurance, healthcare, real estate and others,” Hinduja told media persons here Monday.

According to him, the group is in discussions with a couple of overseas companies to float life and non-life insurance ventures.

The group at present operates the 351-bed P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, popularly known as Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. It will start setting up hospitals in other Indian cities, he said.

“We have enough expertise in running healthcare businesses on our own,” he pointed out. He, however, declined to give details on the subject.

Currently the Hinduja group has a presence in many sectors that include automotive, banking, finance, energy, chemicals, media, entertainment and IT.
