Teheran : The Islamic Republic of Iran condemned US President George W. Bush declarations at NATO’s Summit and considered them irrational and opportunist, affirmed an official source.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry’s spokesman Seyyed Mohammad Ali Hoseini said that the statements from the current occupant of the White House over the Iranian ballistic potential are due to Washington’s intentions to disturb stability in the region.
“We condemned those declarations which are US irrational and opportunist attempt to spoil stability in the region,” he said in a press note, according to IRNA News agency.
In this respect he highlighted the outstanding, historical and multilateral relations of the Persian nation with the neighbor countries which links reflects the prevailing peaceful and friendship character that won’t be damaged by third actions’ interference.
Hoseini commented that Bush’s declarations are included in his chaotic policies implemented by the current US administration that have prompted political, security and economic crisis in the world.
The US president defended in Bucharest on Wednesday the need to deploy an antimissile shield in Eastern Europe aimed at discouraging threats coming from the Middle East, especially from Iran Islamic Republic.
