New Delhi : Tapan Kumar Panda was Friday appointed temporary director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore following the resignation of its director S.P. Parashar.
The governing body of IIM Indore decided to appoint Panda till it finds a new director for the institution, Union Human Resource Development Ministry officials said.
The tenure of Parashar, who has been credited with the turnaround of IIM-Indore, was to officially end in 2009.
Official sources said Parashar has been offered an assignment in the US. However, he has denied this.
