Bhopal : Three active members of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) were arrested from Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh, the police said Sunday.

“All the three arrested Saturday night were active members of SIMI since 1997 and continued their links with the organization even after it was banned,” Dilip Kumar Arya, Rajgarh superintendent of police, told IANS by phone.

Those arrested have been identified as Mohammad Faizal, Mohammad Ansar and Shakir.

“A dairy found from their possession has revealed that they had plans to include school children to train them as jehadis. Several other objectionable documents have also been found from their possession,” the police official said.
