Kuwait City : The Fourth World Islamic Economic Forum will begin at Bayan Palace here on April 29. The three-day event with the theme of ‘Islamic Countries: Partners in the Global Development’ will be held under the auspices of Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed AlJaber Al Sabah.
The forum will be attended by a host of royal guests, presidents and prime ministers of Arab and foreign countries in addition to high ranking officials and prominent economists and scholars from the Arab and Islamic world.
The inaugural function at Bayan Palace is to be followed by a series of debate sessions at the Kuwait Sheraton Hotel focusing on various economic and developmental issues of concern for the participating delegations. A series of meetings and seminars devoted for the young leaders, business women, and Islamic financing institutions will also be organized on the sidelines of the Forum, in addition to a special seminar on developmental financing to be conducted by the Kuwaiti financial institutions and chaired by the Kuwait Banks, IQNA reported. It is worth mentioning that this forum comes as a culmination of a series of similar previously held forums, the latest of which was held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
