Forwarding a letter to IPU Secretary General, Anders Johnson, Iranian parliament’s representative Mohsen Yahyavi urged the international community to conduct immediate inquiry into what is going on in Gaza Strip and the West Bank and force the Israeli regime to end systematic killing of Palestinians.

He deplored escalation of bloodshed in Palestine as a result of the fact that the occupying regime of Israel, ignoring international law, does not respect human rights of the people living under occupation.

Yahyavi said in his letter that Israel is exercising state terrorism, killing innocent children and women under a variety of pretexts.

He said that Israel is practicing collective punishment in Gaza Strip and the West Bank ignoring international law.

“It is a shame on the international community to witness such practices of genocide and bloodshed against a nation,” he said.

The Iranian representative said that establishment of the state of Palestine on the basis of full respect for the resolve of the nation of Palestine is a necessity to restore peace in the Middle East.

Yahyavi called on IPU to condemn Israeli violation of international law and support establishment of the state of Palestine on the basis of national resolve of the Palestinians.
