Bangalore : New Zealander Brendon McCullum scored Twenty20 cricket’s highest ever score, an unbeaten 158, to guide Kolkata Knight Riders to 222 for three wickets in 20 overs against Bangalore Royal Challengers in the opening Indian Premier League match here Friday night.
McCullum faced just 73 balls and smashed nine boundaries besides 15 sixes in his rapid-fire innings after Bangalore captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and invited the Sourav Ganguly-led side to bat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
